Galgorm Resort opens £6million spa
Galgorm Resort & Spa in Ballymena opened its new £6million spa in September 2007, completing the major redevelopment of this four star hotel in County Antrim. A new conference centre opened earlier in the year offering over six hundred square metres of space on two floors; for exhibitions, conferences and gala evenings. It includes a purpose-built auditorium with tiered leather seating and a working desk, as well as the latest AV and communications technology. The centre also includes two boardrooms, a Drawing Room, breakout space and a business support centre.
Galgorm Resort was originally a gentleman's residence. Today it has 75 bedrooms and boasts a range of outdoor activities including archery, fly-fishing, 4x4 off-road driving and clay pigeon shooting. Galgorm Resort and Spa is 3 miles from Ballymena and 30 minutes from central Belfast and George Best Belfast City Airport. Its sister hotel is Ten Square on Donegall Square South in the centre of Belfast.
