Wyndham Hotels enters UK market
American-based, Wyndham Hotel Group, has announced its first property in the UK will be the conversion of The Conrad Hotel in London’s Chelsea Harbour. The five-star hotel, currently operated by Hilton, is to be renamed the Wyndham London–Chelsea Harbour. It is the first stage in the company’s strategy to acquire flagship properties in key international and gateway cities.
Each of the hotel’s 160 suites, many with a balcony, feature a sitting room, high-speed Internet access and 24-hour security. Six luxury penthouse suites overlook the harbour and river. Hotel facilities include 14 conference rooms, a gymnasium, fitness centre, an indoor 17-metre swimming pool, saunas and steam rooms. The Wyndham London–Chelsea Harbour is located in the exclusive Chelsea Harbour, 50 metres from the River Thames overlooking the marina, a few minutes’ drive from the Kings Road, Sloane Square and Knightsbridge.
Wyndham Hotel Group, based in Parsippany, New Jersey, encompasses nearly 6,500 hotels and more than 539,000 hotel rooms on six continents. All hotels are individually owned and operated independently or by a Wyndham Hotel Group management subsidiary.
