Staybridge Suites to launch in Liverpool
Staybridge Suites will open its first hotel in the UK in Liverpool, early 2008. The hotel will form part of the Kings Waterfront development, alongside the new Liverpool Convention Centre, which also opens in central Liverpool early 2008.
The property will comprise 132 fully equipped one bedroom and studio suites, with modern interior design to create a 'home from home' environment for extended stay business travellers - those who usually stay five or more nights. Rooms will include a fully equipped kitchen area whilst public areas include a Hub Kitchen and Living Room with open fire, the Pantry, a 24/7 mini convenience store and an outdoor terrace with barbecue.
The Staybridge Suites brand was launched in the UK by the Intercontinental Hotels Group in 2005 with an announcement to open a 124-bedroom hotel in London-Brentford and a 113-bedroom hotel on the South Bank in London. New openings in Birmingham and Newcastle on Tyne have also been unveiled recently. However, these projects are still at the planning stage, so Liverpool will be the first to open.
