Principal Hotels acquire Hawkstone Park Hotel
Principal Hotels have acquired Hawkstone Park Hotel and Country Club in Shropshire. Situated in 400 acres of countryside, Hawkstone Park boasts two championship golf courses plus conference and meeting facilities. The hotel is ‘strategically located’ central to Manchester and Birmingham and is easily accessible from the M6 and M54 motorways. The hotel currently has 66 bedrooms and five meeting rooms, the largest of which will seat up to 200 delegates.

Principal Hotels are planning an expansion which will increase the number of bedrooms to 120, develop brand new spa facilities and conference suites. Their plans are to develop another ‘golf destination’ along the lines of their Selsdon Park Hotel and Golf Club in South Croydon.

Principal Hotels have recently completed a £60million investment in all its hotels, with a £12million refurbishment of the George Hotel in Edinburgh being the most recent. The group is a collection of seven stylish and contemporary hotels in key locations across the UK. It has recently acquired the five star St. David's Hotel & Spa in Cardiff.
