The Courtyard at Harewood House opens in Leeds
Harewood's grade 1 listed Stables Courtyard has been transformed into a
two-storey conference and event space. The £3million investment opened in
April this year but it has been kept a closely guarded secret until now.
The Courtyard is set in a 'Capability Brown' landscape a few hundred metres
from Harewood House. Facilities include the ground floor Gawthorpe Suite and
the slightly larger Harewood Suite on the first floor, both of which divide into
two separate rooms seating a minimum of 60 theatre style per section. The
Harewood Suite also has integral audio-visual facilities and high-speed
wireless Internet. In addition, the first floor Greystone Room will seat up
to 50 with the Archway Room ideal for boardroom meetings. The Lakeside
Terrace overlooking the lake and gardens with accommodate up to 150 for a
reception. All rooms have plenty of natural daylight
Harewood House, described as 'a St Petersburg palace set on a Yorkshire
ridge', is located just off the A61, seven miles from both Leeds and
Harrogate with good access to Leeds Bradford Airport. There is plenty of
parking and the grounds can be used for team-building exercises or for
family fun-days.
